Maldives bans Israeli passport holders from entering the country.

Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu said in a statement: “This amendment banning Israeli passport holders from entering the Maldives is a clear reflection of our stance against the ongoing persecution in Palestine. The Maldives reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people.”

In the Maldives, following the demonstrations organized to prevent Israeli citizens from entering the country, the law, which was submitted to the Council of Ministers by the main opposition Maldives Democratic Party (MDP), was approved by a majority of votes in the parliament.
