Syria’s interim president al-Sharaa forms new transitional government

Ahmed al-Sharaa took office after the fall of the Syrian Baath Party regime and announced the formation of a new government. The list of ministers of the Damascus government has been announced.

The new cabinet led by Syrian President was announced in Syria.

The swearing-in ceremony of the first cabinet formed by President Ahmad al-Sharaa after overthrowing the 61-year Baath Party regime was held at the People’s Palace in the Syrian capital Damascus.

In his opening speech, President al-Sharaa said: “Today is the day when we move towards the future we deserve with strong will and determination and the strength of the past.”
